    Student-Led, Youth-Owned

Every decision, every presentation, every drive is run by young people. Adults advise; students lead.

  • Action Over Awareness

    Action Over Awareness

Awareness without a next step is noise. We only count what results in changed behaviour or recovered material.

  • Global Thinking, Local Doing

Students Lead E-Waste Awareness Drive in Hindupur

Bharat Samachar · Hindupur · March 29, 2026

Awareness programs regarding e-waste were conducted for students at the Durgabai Deshmukh Municipal Primary School in Hindupur. The workshops were organised by the “CtrlAltReboot” organisation, under the leadership of Vikram Menon, an 11th-grade student from California, USA.

As part of the programs, a simple methodology titled the “Responsible E-Waste Cycle” was explained to the students — covering every stage from usage of electronic devices to their eventual reuse, discussed in an easily understandable manner.

Students were shown innovative ways to repurpose old mobile phones, such as converting them into music players or digital photo frames. Their understanding of topics such as the utilisation of old devices, repairs, and recycling was significantly enhanced.

Teachers noted that the program has proven instrumental in fostering awareness among students regarding environmental conservation and responsible consumption. To date, this initiative has reached over 10,000 students across the globe.
